How to Enable Hyper-V on Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 (Pro)

Công Nghệ

One of the top most amazing features that are hidden away in Windows 8 Pro, than not many people are aware of! Hyper-V is a Virtualization feature that is present in all Windows 8 Pro Operating Systems. It is a software that is very similar to VMware Player/Workstation or VirtualBox or VirtualPC.

One thing to keep in mind, as shown in the video, is that once Hyper-V is enabled, VMware VM’s will no longer run until you disable Hyper-V. It an internal trigger that only allows one of the two Virtualization Software to work.

Hope you Enjoyed!

  1. you talk too much the title says enable hyper-v on windows 8.1 but you talk about all these other side issues get to the point

  2. How to Enable Hyper-V on Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 (Pro)?

    1. Go to Control Panel
    2. Click on Programs and Features
    3. Click on Turn Windows features on or off
    4. Select Hyper-V
    5. Reboot

  3. how did u setup the windows server r2 network.I'm trying to join systems to my domain it's not working 🙁

  4. I have windows 8.1 and it says that it supports Hyper-V yet I can't find it in the windows features
what can I do to fix it?!

  5. @T3chVoid I have Windows 8.1 Pro, And when I try to enable that feature. It says It's disabled by the firmware. Can you tell me how to fix It, If It's even possible.

  6. Can I install other Software like visual studio or software drivers like driver for camera  necessary for running my application to this virtual machine?

  7. It's been said in other comments; OMG it takes soooooooooooooooo loooooooooooooooooooog to get to the point – that should take 10 seconds – how much time does this guys waste on waffling on about nothing?

    Don't waste your time.

  8. Really? 4 minutes of nothing just to tell us that it's under "program features > Hyper-V"? Please dude, stick to "K.I.S.S" People like videos short and to the point.

  9. I enabled Hyper V but i can't connect to anything. Every single video seems to skip the step of connecting to a server and assumes that there is already a connection. I enabled the Hyper V service. Restarted the computer and the Hyper V manager doesn't have any connections. When i try to connect to localhost, it says unable to connect verify service is running or try running as administrator. The service in question which was specified as "Virtual Machine Management" isn't even listed as a service in the task manager.

  10. YOu talk a lot around the point you want to make , without making the point.
First get to the point , then you can add whatever other things you wnat AFTERWRDS
