This current tutorial is all about showing How to Turn your Windows 8 Laptop into a WiFi Hotspot without using any third party software or tools. You can do it within couple of minutes and can access Internet on your Wireless devices in the next second. You no need to have any applications called connectify or Wireless Virtual Router.

Open Run by typing the combination of Windows + R keys then type ncpa.cpl or come to system tray, select Internet Access Icon, right click then select Open Network and Sharing Center then select Change Adapter Settings. Both ways will work.

After opening, select your WiFi or Ethernet or LAN connection which you would like to broadcast, right click then select Sharing. Here in the sharing options select Allow other Network users to connect through this computer’s internet connection. If you get other options here then select Local Area Network. It’s better to unselect second option and click Ok.

Now head over to Command Prompt by right clicking at the left bottom corner and from the options select Command Prompt (Admin). Now follow the video carefully and enter the commands drafted above.

  2. hey that was really helpful to set the hosted network. it was set fine, but then, when i put in the command to start it, i.e. netsh wlan start hostednetwork, it would not start. it says the hostednetwork could not be started. the group or resources is not in the correct state to perform this action. please help as soon as possible bruh.

    On the cmd prompt after entering the first line of code I am getting the message :

    'netsh' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

    Please help
