Why is Trump talking about spending money on bridges and roads when we're under states of Emergency? Why is a health issue such as a fever going around that will take out old people and allegedly took out 13 people in one day in Queens Elmhurst and a nurse at Mt. Sinai, being described in the same manner by media and politicians globally, as a one describes a war? Why should a health concern be perceived in the same framework as geopolitical crises? "stay the course", "solidarity", "duty", "your way to serve", "your responsibility", "war on the invisible enemy", … the list goes on… what healthcare worker, or trained clinician would perceive health and wellness, public health and infection control and transmission in these terms? They wouldn't. WHO is telling every "democratically" elected leader of Western nations to use this language?

This should be a wake up call to all governments. When stay at home moms from school saw it coming in January but our politicians don’t. What does That tells us….

The majority of those dead and infected in NY are White middle upper class folks as is the case across the country, so, how are all the Black/Brown neighborhoods in NY shown as the hotspots? Your map is BACKWARDS.

This individual (calling him mayor is too much honor) contributed to the curve spike, which already resulted in lost lives that may have been avoided. He did it in many ways, and one of the biggest issues was not closing schools at least a week earlier. In my family of 4 public transit commuters, my high schooler got sick first, all because he ignored hundreds of thousands pleas and demands to close schools earlier. High schoolers are super exposed, they couldn’t avoid cross contamination when 10 different kids use the same desk in 10 classes in one day.
